An easy and LOW-TIME COMMITMENT way to have a BIG impact. Most cities, towns, counties, and govt agencies have an online mechanism to report issues. Reporting to authorities forces them to act and to use their resources and jurisdictional authority to compel results.
Volunteer
Anything you can do helps. Whether it’s picking up litter while going for walks or joining clean-up events, anything and everything helps. You will have a feeling of satisfaction knowing that you helped and folks that saw you may be inspired to do likewise.
Encourage Proper Disposal
Many municipalities have programs that allow for bulk disposal of garbage. Other private companies will take and recycle various items such as metal and electronics for little to no charge.
